Exploring London for 7 hours and exhausted.  That was my day in a nutshell.

Starting at Smithfield’s Market a few blocks from our flat, I went to the all of these places: All Souls Church, the BBC headquarters, The Regent’s Park, Lord’s Cricket Ground & Museum, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, the official Beatles Memorabilia  store, and then I had to make my final trip back to both the Natural History Museum and the V&A.

On the way home however, tragedies struck my travel plans for additional stops in London….our train got stuck in between tube stops in darkness.  At least thirty minutes later, the entire train crawled to a stop at the next station and everyone had to evacuate the train.  I’m assuming it was a mechanical failure, but didn’t stay around long enough to find out.

Made it home an hour later than expected, so I took a nap, did laundry, cleaned up a bit and made dinner.  Headed to Brighton and Lewes tomorrow a mini-excursion.  The southern coast is supposedly beautiful, and I’m looking forward to a change in scenery!
